MU&E started a maintenance division because of changes being made in the industry which relate to the treatment of storm water. The industry has been forced to change due to more stringent water quality issues, watershed requirements, MPCA requirements, DNR requirements, limited on-site storage of water and increases to the density on real estate. Our rivers, lakes, and streams will not recover from previous damage and by adhering to these regulations we are helping to protect our environment.
MU&E cleans, pumps, treats and legally disposes of products in storm treatment, commercial, and sanitary sewer systems. We also inspect and certify systems for municipalities and governing agencies.
The majority of owners do not know their sanitary or storm treatment systems require maintenance or about the necessary upkeep of them. We meet with owners to thoroughly explain the system and the required maintenance in order to avoid improper discharge to waterways and costly property backups.
The Requirements on storm water management are continuously changing and new products are constantly being developed and tested. We work with suppliers to install, monitor, clean and recommend product changes to allow for ease of cleaning and longer durability.
